Muncie Primary Care is an independent, family-owned adult primary care practice that has served the Muncie community since 1981. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Medical Office Receptionist to join our team.
Previous medical office experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person. We are especially interested in someone who enjoys working with people, learns new technology and processes well, and can stay organized while handling multiple responsibilities.
What You'll Do
As a receptionist, you will be one of the people our patients interact with throughout their experience at MPC. Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones and assisting patients with questions
- Making outbound calls and leaving patient messages
- Scheduling appointments accurately based on provider schedules and established workflows
- Assisting with patient checkout and collecting payments
- Sending and faxing orders and other documents
- Requesting medical records
- Indexing documents into patient charts
- Monitoring assigned work queues and completing administrative tasks throughout the day
- Assisting with STAT orders and coordinating scheduling with outside facilities
- Learning and using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management systems
- Communicating with clinical and administrative departments to help patient needs move smoothly through the office
- Helping teammates with additional work when needed
- Following HIPAA and patient-confidentiality requirements
- Completing other front-office responsibilities as needed

Medical office experience is a plus, but not required.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
