Mulvane Coop is a full service grain coop with locations in Mulvane and Clearwater.
The Facility Operations & Member Services Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the grain cooperative facility, providing excellent member services, and supporting daily operations. This hands-on position combines facility maintenance duties including grounds keeping and equipment operations with member-facing services such as scale operations and grain handling. The role also includes managing social media and promotional activities to support the cooperative's community engagement. This position requires the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining professional communication and a strong commitment to safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Maintains facility grounds including mowing lawn, landscaping, and general upkeep of outdoor areas.
- Cleans and sweeps feed shed, shop areas, and other facility spaces on a regular basis.
- Performs daily facility maintenance inspections and addresses minor repairs to ensure safe, functional operations.
- Operates and maintains equipment including lawn mowers, hand tools, and other facility equipment.
- Provides excellent customer service by greeting members professionally and assisting them with their needs promptly.
- Processes grain scale tickets accurately and efficiently for all transactions.
- Weighs and documents inbound and outbound trucks across the scale, maintaining accurate records.
- Perform grain quality checks as needed to ensure product standards are met.
- Handles billing transactions and accepts payments from members.
- Manages social media accounts by creating, scheduling, and posting content across multiple platforms.
- Develops and implements social media strategies to promote cooperative activities and engage with the community.
- Supports marketing initiatives, events, and promotional campaigns.
- Handles general office tasks including scheduling, communications, and maintaining organized files.
- Maintains office supplies and ensures work areas are clean and organized.
- Works outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Ability to work a variable schedule including different days of the week, shifts, and hours per week (including overtime as needed).
- Ability to manage priorities and interruptions with patience and professional communication.
- Ability to manage stress and maintain professionalism in busy or challenging situations.
- Promotes teamwork and successfully communicates with various departments and ability to work independently as needed.
- Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with members, employees, and management.
- Attends safety and training meetings.
- Maintains and promotes safety awareness and follows safety policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Understands and complies with state and federal regulations.
- Maintains an organized and clean work environment. Presents a clean and professional appearance.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
