As The On-Call Pharmacist, You Will

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
Education/Training: Pharm.D. or Bachelor of Pharmacy with equivalent experience from an accredited college or university; AND
Experience: Six (6) months of Licensed Pharmacist Experience.
Required License/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in good standing by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
Other: Must have valid CPR / BLS Certification upon hire OR within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications/ Transferable Skills*: You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/ transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Inclement Weather and Disasters - Serving the Public, Even During Disasters:
Everyday, Multnomah County staff work together to serve as a safety net for our communities. During a disaster, this safety net becomes even more critical. All County employees have a role in serving the public during inclement weather, natural disaster, or other types of community emergency response. During these emergency responses, while typically there begins with a call for volunteers, county employees may ultimately be reassigned from their current position to a role in the emergency response in order to support the critical needs presented by our communities. Location: Gladys McCoy Building - 619 NW 6th Ave Portland OR 97209. This position will float between the various Multnomah County Clinic Pharmacies based on coverage needs.
Schedule: Monday - Friday. Shift times vary between 8:30AM to 5PM, 9AM to 5:30PM, and 9:30AM to 6PM.

As The On-Call Pharmacist, You Will
- Provide Medication dispensing including correct entry of prescription orders into the pharmacy management software, filling of prescription orders, performing drug utilization review of prescription orders for drug/therapeutic appropriateness (DUR).
- Review work of pharmacy technicians assisting in the preparation of prescription orders.
- Model and demonstrate best practices in medication dispensing.
- Provide consultation and education to patients on the use of their medications.
- Ensure adequate inventory of drugs and supplies are kept for the clinic and pharmacy clients and that all record keeping is maintained.
- Consult with medical providers as needed or on request, providing pharmaceutical information for clinical staff and patients.
- Actively participate in initiatives designed to promote a safe work environment.
