Overview
Multnomah County Department of County Human Services (DCHS), Aging, Disability and Veteran Services (ADVSD) is excited to announce we are currently seeking an experienced individual to provide services as a Russian bilingual Case Manager 1.
The Case Manager 1 (CM1) position provides eligibility determination services to applicants for cash, food, and medical benefits administered by the State of Oregon. The person in this position conducts interviews in order to gather pertinent information, accesses multiple computer applications, and determines eligibility according to Oregon Administrative Rules and procedures in order to issue benefits in a timely manner.
The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate
Bilingual pay: This position receives an additional 5% premium on all hours worked, because of the fluency in Russian language.
The eligible list created from this recruitment may be used to fill future regular, limited duration, temporary, on-call, full or part-time assignments within the department

- Associate's degree (Equivalent training and practical experience may substitute for the educational requirement)
- Two (2) years of paraprofessional level experience providing assistance and services to human services/social service clients, including older adults and persons with physical, developmental and/or multiple disabilities
- Must pass language assessments at an advanced level (speak, read and write)
- Must pass a criminal background check (this step occurs after a job offer)
- Respect and appreciation for ethnic and cultural diversity
- Knowledge of cultures, customs and social experiences of communities experiencing marginalization and barriers to opportunity
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay current on clerical tasks
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to make decisions based on specific rules and regulations
- Ability to complete work using standard software tools
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customer
