Provide executive leadership and direction to MULTIVAC Capital Equipment Sales Team to achieve sales targets. In cooperation with Regional Sales Directors, Regional Sales Managers, and Sales Administration Team, develop systems, processes, procedures, and strategic business plans aligned with the organizations goals. Develop and implement a hiring and training strategy to ensure long-term customer satisfaction with a well-focused sales group.
This position will travel 2-3 weeks per month with remainder of the time being spent in the office to ensure proper preparation and follow-up. On occasion, weekend travel will be necessary. Some international travel is required. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate travel, customer needs, trade shows, meetings, and customer schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Language Ability: Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in order to motivate, develop, and encourage department staff and communicate with customers. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to a varied audience including executives.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Power Point; and have working knowledge of ERP systems and CRM applications. SAP experience preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises a team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; applying recognition and discipline as appropriate; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and developing associates through coaching, counseling, and mentoring. Ensures effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

- Develop and implement strategic sales strategies and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives. Participate in the establishment of organizational goals.
- Direct sales forecasting activities and planning, and set performance goals accordingly
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and direct changes in strategies as necessary
- Develop and manage sales operating budgets
- Monitor and report on competitor products, sales, and marketing activities
- Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategies to produce market share growth
- Maintain close partnership with parent company to stay abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team is informed and prepared to promote and sell new products in the market
- In partnership with Marketing, conduct and evaluate market research, and adjust marketing strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions
- Participate in the planning and execution of trade shows
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
- Develop plans for bundling sales, service, parts, training, and systems to enhance business growth
- Oversee the defining, establishing, and enhancing of the roles, goals, and responsibilities for all associates within the reporting Sales departments. Ensure that all associates are adequately trained, and skill sets match performance requirements. Ensure goals are assessed and reviewed consistently as a team and individually within the department.
