Position Overview
The Fastener Sales Professional will focus on growing sales through fastener distributors across the United States. This role serves as a key point of contact for distributor partners, helping them win business through competitive pricing, strong technical support, and dependable U.S.-based production capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand relationships with new and existing fastener distributors
- Identify opportunities to convert imported or competitor business to MultiTech’s domestic custom cold heading capabilities
- Work closely with distributor partners to understand customer requirements and recommend technical solutions
- Collaborate with internal engineering and production teams to support complex custom fastener projects
- Achieve and exceed sales targets within the distribution channel
- Represent the company at trade shows and other industry events
- Provide market feedback to support product strategy, capacity planning, and business development efforts
Qualifications
- Proven experience selling fasteners, preferably custom or specialty fasteners, into the distribution channel
- Strong understanding of the fastener industry and distributor sales model
- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand cold heading, thread rolling, and secondary operations
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and account-development skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with distributors and attend industry events
- Experience using CRM tools and sales forecasting systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Established relationships with fastener distributors
- Experience selling domestically manufactured custom fastener solutions
- Ability to position technical and service advantages against imported competition
