Medical AssistantArlington, VAPay From: $20 Per HourMUST:3 years of experience as a medical assistant in a fast paced medical practiceCertified or registered as a medical assistant or willing to become so with an MA diplomaExperience working in an allergy or ENT office preferredExperience administering injectionsDocumenting and updating information in EMRRooming patients and obtaining vitalsAssisting with exams and proceduresAbility to translate for Spanish speaking patientsDUTIES:The duties of the Medical Assistant include but are not limited to the following:Room patientsObtain vitalsAdminister injectionsMix serumsAssist physician and physician assistant in exam roomsGive instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistantEnsure all related reports, and labs are filed and entered into medical recordsKeep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as requiredTake telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy callsTriage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistantsMaintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator
