What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Setup Machinist (Mill/Lathe) position at Multisource Mfg?
- Performs complex set-ups, without supervision, on a wide variety of CNC machines in a manner, which will ensure accurate and precise compliance with design and quality standards.
- Monitors variations in sequence, e.g., positioning, cycle time, etc., and makes necessary corrections.
- Works from drawings and/or specifications with little or no direction from Team Leader.
- Troubleshoots complex machining job problems without supervision.
- Runs production and deburrs parts as required.
- Writes programs for CNC machines Mill/Lathe.(Mastercam)
- Help determine best machining process.
- Select and align tooling, fixtures, and attachments for machining.
- Adjust machine to produce a conforming product.
- Perform in-process inspection of own work while running machine.
- Complete required paperwork and keep material and paperwork organized.
- Provide on-the-job training to other employees in department.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.
- Keeps Team Leader informed of job, machine, and equipment related problems as well as any other information related to work activity.
- Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
- Conform to the company quality system as documented.
- Willing to help out in other areas to meet our customer needs.
- All other duties as assigned.
