What You’ll Do
Electrical Assembly & Installation
- Perform electrical assembly and disassembly on generator components and subassemblies.
- Read and interpret work orders, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to determine assembly methods.
- Route, assemble, and install wiring and electrical components including:
- Reconnection boards, terminal blocks, controls, bus panels
- Relays, circuit breakers, controllers, CTs, cam‑loks
- Engine DC, Generator AC, junction boxes, and main control panels
- Manufacture or modify custom wiring harnesses to fit equipment specifications.
- Cut wire and cable to required lengths.
- Crimp terminals and lugs using hand or machine crimping tools.
- Route, comb, twist, tie‑wrap, solder, and secure wiring according to layout and safety standards.
- Conduct functional and continuity testing on electrical assemblies, components, wire harnesses, and plugs using meters and testing instruments.
- Analyze drawings and schematics to ensure installations meet efficiency and safety standards.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and workmanship on all assemblies.
- Coordinate with team members to complete assemblies and production schedules.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and safety briefings as assigned.
- Request equipment and supplies as needed to support production and maintain adequate inventory.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures when handling tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of electrical assembly experience required.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
- Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes (or willingness to be trained).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work under high‑pressure production demands.
- Comfortable working in tight or awkward positions, including:
- Overhead reach, forward and lateral reach
- Squatting, twisting, and neck rotation
- Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays.
- Positive, reliable, and team‑oriented attitude.
- Occasionally lift 25–50 pounds.
- Frequent carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Estimated time spent:
- 10% sitting

- 55% standing

- $20.00/-$22.00/hr
