Concord Academy is accepting applications for full-time teachers in our Daycare program. We are looking to add creative and loving early childhood teachers to our team!
Position Summary
Concord Academy Daycare provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports the spiritual, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This position partners with families and staff to foster a Christ-centered atmosphere of love, learning, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons, crafts, and activities that align with Christian values.
- Encourage positive behavior through patience, consistency, and love.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities, progress, and concerns.
- Assist children with personal care routines, including meals, hygiene, and rest periods.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow all Concord Academy policies, licensing regulations, and health/safety standards.
- Model Christian character and encourage spiritual growth through prayer, Bible stories, and worship activities.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or CDA preferred).
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or church setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A heart for children and a commitment to Christian education.
Work Schedule
Full-time or part-time position; hours vary based on enrollment and program needs.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., sit or stand for extended periods, and actively engage with young children.
