Multiplicity is growing, and we are looking for a Lead Vehicle Upfitting Installation Technician to join our team. We specialize in government fleet upfitting, emergency vehicle equipment, onboard power systems, and precision electrical integrations for police, emergency, and public works vehicles.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who knows how to take a vehicle from the raw install stage to a clean, dependable, finished build. We are looking for someone with strong 12-volt electrical experience, confidence in metal fabrication, and pride in producing quality work. The right person will lead by example, solve problems in the bay, and help raise the standard of our installs every day.
What You’ll Do
Install, wire, mount, fabricate, and troubleshoot equipment on fleet and specialty vehicles. This includes emergency lighting, sirens, control systems, consoles, partitions, push bumpers, warning devices, power systems, and other custom upfit components.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform vehicle upfit installations from start to finish
- Read wiring diagrams, build clean harnesses, and complete advanced 12-volt electrical work
- Perform metal fabrication, mounting, drilling, trimming, fitting, and secure equipment installation
- Install lights, sirens, switches, power distribution, consoles, partitions, bumpers, radios, and other fleet equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical fitment issues in the shop
- Maintain clean, organized, professional install quality
- Follow shop procedures, safety expectations, and quality-control standards
- Work with the team to keep builds on time and customer-ready
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in vehicle upfitting, emergency vehicle installs, fleet equipment installation, or a closely related field
- Strong background in automotive electrical systems / 12-volt wiring
- Some background in metal fabrication and mounting
- Ability to read diagrams, measure accurately, and think through custom installs
- Confidence using shop tools, fabrication tools, and diagnostic tools
- High attention to detail and pride in clean wiring and finish work
- Ability to work independently and lead others in a fast-paced shop environment
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Background check may be required depending on vehicle or customer assignment

Pay: $22.75 - $50.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
