Multiplication Network is a Christian non-profit that equips church planters worldwide with the vision of seeing a healthy church representing the Kingdom of God in every community. Since implementing verified reporting in 2010, the ministry has grown from training 300 church planters annually to more than 17,000 in 2025.

Position Summary

The VP of Advancement & Communication provides executive leadership for fundraising, marketing, communications, donor relations, church engagement, events, and volunteer initiatives. This role is responsible for developing sustainable revenue streams, strengthening the organization's brand, growing donor partnerships, and leading high-performing Advancement and Communication teams. This individual is called to use their leadership, relational and communication gifts to support Multiplication Network's mission and expand its global impact.

The Vice President of Advancement & Communication is a member of the International Leadership Team (ILT).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies that increase awareness, donor engagement, and financial support.
  • Lead and mentor the Advancement and Communication teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with major donors, churches, foundations, businesses, and ministry partners.
  • Personally cultivate and solicit major gifts using a relationship-based donor stewardship model.
  • Oversee donor communications, stewardship, and reporting to ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful engagement.
  • Expand planned giving and identify new fundraising opportunities to increase long-term ministry support.
  • Manage departmental budgets and performance, maintaining strong stewardship and measurable return on investment.
  • Strengthen and protect the organization's brand and ensure consistency across all communications.
  • Represent Multiplication Network through public speaking, events, networking, and ministry presentations.
  • Ensure fundraising practices comply with ECFA and AFP ethical standards.
  • Serve on the Global Leadership Team (GLT) and provide reports and presentations to the board as requested.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of senior leadership experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or nonprofit advancement.
  • Proven success leading teams, developing strategy, managing budgets, and achieving fundraising goals.
  • Experience with international or faith-based organizations preferred.

Skills

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience cultivating major donors and managing the full donor lifecycle.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across cultures and with diverse church and ministry partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor relationship management best practices.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Travel

Approximately 30% travel, including domestic and international trips. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and passport required.

  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and is comfortable praying with and ministering to donors.

  • Exhibits strong cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
