What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST I position at Multipli Federal Credit Union?
Role:
To provide support and training to Credit Union personnel and members in the use of personal computers, online systems, etc. Support IT Department with project implementation and process improvement.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assists in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of PCs, printers, terminals, etc., coordinating with technical support and vendors as necessary; coordinates with other M.I.S. staff to resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
- Provides on-going support to all Credit Union staff in the use of end-user hardware and software products.
- Installs end-user hardware and PC software; ensures Credit Union employees know how to care for and maintain their terminals, printers, and PCs and understand procedures for data backup, network access, etc.
- Ensures administrative control over the end-user hardware and software assets of the Credit Union, as well as related supplies and accessories, through maintenance of inventories, files, logs, etc.
- Trains Credit Union staff to use standard PC-based software tools.
- Provides support to members with the usage of online services.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
- Support IT Department with project implementation and process improvement.
Performance Measurements:
- Provide support and training to Credit Union personnel in the use of hard and software products.
- Assist when problems occur with hardware.
- Maintain inventory of credit Union's hardware and software.
- Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
- Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills
- Knowledge of office automation products, word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, personal computers, PC operating systems, peripheral equipment, etc.
- Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Work Environment Position is eligible to work remotely on a limited basis during business hours per approval from supervisor.
