Part-Time Medical Office Assistant / Receptionist

Position Overview We are hiring a Part-Time Medical Office Assistant to support front-office operations. This is a part-time role capped at 24 hours per week. You will be welcoming patients at the practice, coordinating schedules, patient communications, records, billing support, and daily office logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients; manage scheduling and appointment confirmations
- Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient inquiries professionally
- Monitor and manage email, voicemail, and physical mail
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with EHR documentation
- Support scheduling of procedures and referrals; coordinate with clinical staff
- Assist with insurance billing and payment collection
- Manage office supplies, amenities, and general administrative tasks
- Use Microsoft Office and basic computer systems confidently
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience as a medical office or in a healthcare setting (highly encouraged)
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred; must be able to serve both patient populations effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; collegial, team-oriented attitude
- High school diploma or higher required
- Professional or business attire required
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with EHR systems preferred
Schedule & Commitment
- Part-time: up to 24 hours per week
