Location: District-Wide (16 Kitchen Sites)
Position Summary:
The Kitchen Maintenance position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of food service equipment across all district kitchen locations. This role ensures all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently to support daily meal operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment including, but not limited to, ovens, steamers, ice machines, hot and cold holding units, and serving lines.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all food service equipment to extend lifespan and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors or service providers when specialized repairs are required.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Assist with installation and setup of new or replacement equipment.
- Travel between 16 kitchen locations as needed to perform duties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move equipment and materials.
- Ability to work in kitchen environments with varying temperatures and conditions. May include confined spaces, around heat, water, and mechanical equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One to two years of experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or a related field preferred.
- Electrical and/or plumbing training or experience preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Salary : $57,034 - $65,437
