Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs on biomedical equipment according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install and configure new biomedical devices and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment inventory.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and service quality.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of medical device technology, electronics, and instrumentation.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, Joint Commission, and OSHA.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to travel between facilities as needed.
- Must pass state background check
