The Production Manager -Assembly is responsible for leading the production team with planning, scheduling and monitoring the efficient production, assembly, and quality control processes in pursuit of on-time delivery of finished goods to our customer. The ideal candidate will have experience with production planning, scheduling, inventory management, ERP system management, strong leadership skills, and superior communication skills. Successful incumbents are proficient in team motivation and have a continuous improvement mind-set.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Team Management & Staffing: Coordinate with HR to maintain proper staffing levels, provide oversight and training to new and existing employees, manage employee performance, engagement, scheduling, and attendance, complete employee performance evaluations and performance improvement plans, suggest team members for transfer and promotional opportunities.
- Production Management: Plan, schedule, and oversee workflow, efficiency, and quality adjusting as necessary based upon raw part availability, staffing, and other constrictions
- Order & Inventory Control: Review order demands and timelines, create production orders/issue jobs, and maintain accurate real-time inventory tracking.
- Performance & Process Improvement: Identify efficiency opportunities, develop alternate plans and processes, suggest automation where possible
- Reporting & Communication: Work closely with leadership to solve day to day concerns, utilize reporting to make data driven decisions on team performance, non-conformance issues, quality concerns, overtime, costs and cost-reduction, and ensure on-time delivery to our customers.
- MRP System Proficiency: Fully understand and utilize the MRP system for optimal scheduling and production planning.
- Other Duties: Perform all other tasks as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent may be required
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measures, calipers, and other shop drawing aids
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change
- Understand and support company policies and procedures

- Ability to work with various types of assembly constraints with guidance
Physical Requirements:
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs frequently
- Squat, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
- Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
- Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time
Work Site Environment:
· Ability to work in a 55-85 degree Fahrenheit work environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
