Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with the ability to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires mechanical knowledge, electrical skills, and the ability to fabricate solutions as needed. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment, supervising projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Fabricate parts and components as necessary to support maintenance activities.
- Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with other team members.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including the use of diagnostic tools like an Ohmmeter.
- Ability to fabricate components as required for repairs or improvements.
- Experience in residential painting is a plus.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead small teams effectively.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
