The Medical Technologist is an excellent technical opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance and technical problem resolution. This position requires a service-committed individual, who is detail oriented and can perform complex data analysis, exercise sound, independent judgment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

MultiCare Allenmore Hospital has served Tacoma since 1929, offering convenient access to primary and specialty care services. This 130-bed hospital provides advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies and a 24-hour Emergency Department, all located on a patient-friendly, easily accessible campus.

Responsibilities
- You will receive specimens, establish and maintain positive identification of specimens
- You will determine suitability of specimen
- You will acquire/prepare reagents as needed
- You will perform instrument maintenance and calibration
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences (required)
- Master’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred)
- Certification for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT or MT (AAB)
- Specialist Certification in discipline (preferred) Specialist Hematology,SH (ASCP), Microbiology, SM (ASCP), Specialist BldBnking,SBB (ASCP), Tech Chemistry, SC (ASCP
