**Overview:**
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, promoting their independence and well-being. We are looking for the following weekend shifts 8am-8pm, 8pm-8am, 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, 12am-8am, 7pm-7am and 7am-7pm. Candidates must have a valid drivers license and prefered DC TME License to pass medications in DC.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Help individuals participate in social and recreational activities
- Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in direct support, nursing home, or related field required
- Ability to lift and move individuals safely
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Valid DC TME Certificate
- Valid Drivers License and willing and able to drive company van if needed
