Professional, self-motivated, and quality-focused Warehouse Manager to work in a fast-paced, structured, team environment. Responsibilities include managing personnel and overseeing daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, logistics, branch fulfillment, and warranty processing. Additional duties include training staff, ensuring employee safety, conducting emergency preparedness training, enforcing OSHA best practices, and coordinating the servicing of equipment and vehicles. Must be able to perform a variety of related tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES(In Addition to Warehouse Lead/Supervisor)
- Manage opening and closing of warehouse
- Manage and oversee all functions of counter sales/will call
- Oversee and evaluate logistics vendors, pricing, performance, and accuracy (small carrier and FTL/LTL)
- Inventory management, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment and quality control on customer satisfaction in accordance with SOPs
- Supervise daily shipping and receiving functions
- Manage daily production activities to meet deadlines
- Manages safety, conducts and coordinates monthly meetings to ensure enforcement of OSHA, state, and local safety laws
- Approve safety inspections of all vehicles and equipment
- Perform or oversee end of day functions including but not limited to end of day warehouse queues, manifest closing, document scanning, and UPS loading
- Set-up and maintain delivery routes and production of manifest
- Ensures all daily branch transfers are accurate and properly processed
- Monitors email for stock verification requests and pick/pull error verification
- Obtain accurate freight quotes for customer service as needed
- Ensure policies promote accuracy and attention to detail ensuring transfers/shipments are picked according to picking ticket specifications
- Partner with inventory control specialist to ensure inventory accuracy
- Create or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support warehouse operations and ensure consistent enforcement.
- Manage warehouse facilities to ensure proper working conditions and maintenance
- Manage drivers and company truck fleet
- Collaborate with the executive team to resolve any warehouse operations/personnel issues
- Minimum Education: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field is standard
- Alternative Pathway: A high school diploma paired with 8 years of advanced supervisory experience in logistics can sometimes substitute for a formal degree.
Advanced Certifications (Highly Preferred):
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) via the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM)
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) via the Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certifications for operational process improvement.
- Total Industry Experience: 5 to 7 years of progressive experience working within an active warehouse, distribution center, or global procurement hub
- Leadership Experience: 2 to 3 years of direct supervisory or managerial experience leading teams, conducting performance reviews, and managing labor hours
- Sourcing & Vendor Management: Documented experience vetting external suppliers, negotiating high-value service contracts, and tracking Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Technical Experience: High proficiency using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) alongside dedicated Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

- Experience in an inside & outside sales environment
- Experience with negotiating terms, pricing, and stock for customers
- Experience of going directly to customers and providing sales presentations
- Lifting / Carrying: Ability to lift or move items ranging from 10 – 20 pounds up to 50 pounds
- Mobility: Significant walking, standing, sitting, and driving throughout the workday, often 40-60% of the time
- Physical Agility: Occasional crouching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, or bending to access client sites or handle equipment
- Frequently utilization of fine finger dexterity for digital systems and equipment inspections

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
