Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency (MPCAA) is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to join our team in Shelbyville, Kentucky. This position provides administrative and front office support while assisting staff with program operations and serving as the first point of contact for clients.
Position Details
- Position: Administrative Assistant
- Employment Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
- Location: Shelbyville, KY
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (20 hours per week; schedule to be determined)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails.
- Schedule appointments and maintain staff calendars.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic and paper files.
- Assist with program documentation and participant records.
- Support grant reporting and compliance by organizing required documentation.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and other basic administrative tasks.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and agency information.
- Provide general administrative support to agency staff as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred:
- Associate degree.
- Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience.
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations or human service programs.
