What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Coordinator position at Multi-Plastics Extrusions?
Position Overview
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the shipping and receiving process. He or She will prepare accurate paper work for all shipments and load the trucks. He or She will also complete all receiving paperwork, present it to the Shipping Lead / Supervisor for verification and unload the deliveries into a proper location designated by the Shipping Lead / Supervisor. The Shipping Coordinator will perform jockey moves throughout the day. He or she will also coordinate all shipments and deliveries on nights with the night material handlers. This position must utilize and comply with the warehouse management plan, and maintain the organization and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and manufacturing areas. Persons in this position must meet the requirements to be a licensed forklift driver.
Follows an established plan for placing raw materials and finished goods into the warehouse.
Performs a visual quality check on material and packaging on outgoing shipments. Completes all shipping and receiving paper work in the MXP computer system.
Update and maintain all trailer moves in the ultimate trailer inventory spreadsheet.
Loads trailers for outgoing shipments. Unloads trailers of incoming shipments.
Prepares commercial invoices for all overseas shipments
Completes all paperwork required for incoming and outgoing shipments (BOL’s, Receivers, etc.)
Performs quality inspections on incoming shipments.
Responsible for verifying weights of shipments.
Operates forklifts and other mobile equipment (including floor sweeper) as needed safely and efficiently.
Inspects all labels (inventory tags, scrap and finished goods labels) for completeness and accuracy before movement of gaylords, finished goods, etc.
Must be able to drive the yard jockey truck or be willing to obtain certification within 3 months of accepting position.
Responsible for all jockey movement needed.
Complies always with the Mobile Equipment Written Program expectations for the inspection and operation of Mobile Equipment and other mobile equipment related subjects.
Spot checks weights of finished goods on labels to insure accuracy.
Visually inspects the condition of all packaging material to verify material is safe to use. Updates inventory sheets to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials.
Maintains housekeeping and organization of raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods.
Updates racks sheets for removal or storage of raw material, flake, and or repel.
Maintains accurate supply levels in the warehouse area.
Maintains all inventory papers in a current and accurate state.
Assists the material handlers as needed and / or times allows.
Responsible for the housekeeping within the shipping office, outside the shipping doors and loading dock doors.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
