What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Journeyman Plumber position at Multi-Craft Contractors, Inc.?
Essential Duties
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
- Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
- Service plumbing.
- On-call rotation.
Education & Training
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in plumbing, preferred
- Strong mathematical, mechanical, and technical skills
- Ability to monitor gauges, dials, or other indications to make sure a machine is working properly
- Working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- A current valid driver’s license is required
