What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVACR Install Apprentice position at Multi-Craft Contractors, Inc.?
Essential Duties
- Provide assistance on the job; specific duties will depend on your trade.
- Prepare and clean construction sites.
- Gather materials needed for workers on the job site.
- Assist in building structures for business and construction sites requiring the use of heavy equipment and machinery.
- Unload and load materials, read plans and specifications.
- Transport tools and equipment to work area.
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools and equipment.
- Clean, maintain, and service equipment and tools.
Depending on the state/city requirements, you may be required to actively pursue a four-year apprenticeship through an accredited program; while gaining field experience. Apprentices will participate in trade specific installations and tasks with the Journeyman/Supervisor.
Education & Training
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
Skills & Experience
- Working knowledge of the following:
- Understanding of traditional building materials, practices, and techniques.
- Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Must be able to monitor gauges, dials, or other indications to make sure a machine is working properly.
