- School Year Hours: (M-F 6:30 AM – 3:00PM)
- Summer Hours: (M-F 6:30 AM-3:00 PM)
- Occasional weekend hours in the summer
Effective Date of Employment:
January 20, 2025 - this is a year-round position
Salary:
According to the Custodial Salary Scale.
FY25 Starting Salary: $47,260.54, plus an increase after 6 consecutive months of service
Job Responsibilities:
The Building Custodian is generally responsible for the achievement of the purposes of custodian services in the building, i.e., preserve property values, protect health and safety of occupants; support the educational objectives of the building and provide a climate of learning, develop goodwill and maintain cleanliness and neatness
• Grounds upkeep, snow removal
• Perform all other general duties as indicated by the Principal, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, the Custodial Supervisor or his/her designee, and policies of the Marlborough School Committee
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferrred but not required.
• Physical and mental capabilities to perform above work
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Ability to understand spoken and written English.
