Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with flatbed configurations across regional routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques and proper cargo securing methods, including logistics cargo handling for various types of freight such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods when qualified.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and time management.
• Transport diverse freight types including refrigerated trailers, tanker loads, or automobile transportation as required by the route.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before departure and after delivery.
• Ensure proper documentation for loads, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, load details, and delivery statuses in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit.

Experience

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on flatbed or tractor-trailer operations.
• Familiarity with over-the-road (OTR) driving routes within regional territories.
• Experience handling freight that requires securement on flatbeds or tanker configurations.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) certification is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload procedures.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards related to commercial trucking.

Pay: $800.00 - $2,500.00 per week
