Project Engineer
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager and project team in planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
- Assist with reviewing project plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Track Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders; maintain accurate logs and documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of materials, drawings, and information.
- Support scheduling activities by tracking progress against milestones and assisting in schedule updates.
- Monitor project costs, prepare budget updates, and assist in financial tracking.
- Conduct site visits to support field staff, resolve issues, and verify quality and safety compliance.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
- Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, as-builts, and turnover deliverables.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify risks and contribute to proactive solutions.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in construction, project engineering, or related roles (internships or co-ops acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Familiarity with project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project, P6, Bluebeam) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into advanced project management roles.
