Responsibilities
- Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and audits
- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and recommend corrective actions
- Enforce OSHA, company, and site-specific safety policies
- Assist with site-specific safety plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents
- Prepare safety reports, logs, and documentation
- Assist with emergency response planning and drills
- Monitor subcontractor safety compliance
- Coordinate safety training and certifications
- Maintain safety signage and jobsite postings
- Support drug-free workplace and compliance programs
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- OSHA 30 certification (required)
- 1 years of construction safety experience (commercial preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to identify hazards and implement solutions
- Comfortable working in active construction environments
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
- OSHA 510 / OSHA 500 certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial construction
- Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS)
