Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure cleanliness and availability for food preparation.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients under supervision.
- Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies and maintaining a tidy work area.
- Help with meal assembly and plating when needed, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
- Assist in maintaining inventory by reporting shortages or damaged items.
- Support catering or special event setups by preparing ingredients or serving as needed.
Skills
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service is a plus.
- Basic culinary skills including knife handling, meal preparation, and food safety knowledge.
- Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and cooking techniques preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow instructions accurately.
