Responsibilities:
- Reviewing post-construction stormwater maintenance scope. Either as presented by a client, required by a jurisdiction, and/or defined by Muller.
- Request (if applicable) as-built plans from local jurisdiction & compare against field conditions. Which may be in the form of photos & written description only.
- Perform detailed take offs to determine material types & quantities needed.
- Work with division director & superintendent to coordinate site walks (when applicable) to gather additional quantifiable information & document current conditions.
- Determine durations for various scope services and which labor/equipment is necessary.
- Work with subcontractors & material vendors (when applicable) to obtain apple-to-apple quotes.
- Prepare written proposals with detailed scope summary.
- At min.5 years estimating experience.
- Proficiency in basic math, understanding material multipliers concept, and converting between units of measure. Including converting inches to decimals without the need of a calculator or converter.
- Exceptionally high communication & time management skills.
- Multi tasking, hitting hard deadlines, & willingness to put in extra effort when needed.
- Ability to read & interpret plans. Including plan views, details, cross sections, and profiles.
- Ability to scale drawings, calibrate scale when needed, and perform detailed take offs to determine material types & quantities needed.
- Strong technical writing ability to clearly define what the scope is we are presenting, identifying special conditions, and exclusions.
