Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize GPS and transportation management systems to optimize routes and monitor vehicle locations.
- Manage dispatching operations using the software Net-suite for effective logistics planning.
- Communicate with drivers via phone systems to provide instructions, updates, and support during their routes.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including data entry of delivery schedules and driver logs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any logistical challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics management is preferred.
- Familiarity with GPS technology and transportation management systems is essential.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with drivers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
