Engineering with a Purpose: Powering the Agricultural & Industrial Supply Chain
At Mulder Engineering, Inc. (MEI), we do more than just design systems - we help feed and fuel the world. We specialize in electrical design consulting for the industrial agricultural sector. From small local elevators to complex industrial processing facilities, our work keeps these essential supply chains moving.
Our culture is built on high-trust collaboration. We believe in creating an environment where your professional growth as a designer is a top priority. If you are a motivated graduate or emerging drafter looking to jumpstart your career in a fast-paced, essential industry, we are ready to invest in your development.
The Opportunity: From Drafting Table to Reality
As an Entry-Level Electrical Designer, you won’t be just another face in a massive corporate office. You will work directly with senior leadership and experienced engineers to design plans that bring large-scale industrial projects to life.
What you’ll do:
- Technical Drafting & Precision: Master AutoCAD and Revit standards - focusing on layer management, layout legibility, and drafting speed to produce clean, precise electrical packages with minimal redline cycles.
- Code & Facility Design: Build a strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and master our standardized design series for agricultural and industrial facilities.
- Operational Proficiency: Maintain clean file organization and transparent task status tracking using digital platforms.
- Professional Growth: We invest in your future. We support your progress toward industry credentials such as the Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP), ADDA Certified Drafter (CD), or NICET Certifications (Levels I–IV).
Who we’re looking for:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Electrical Design, CAD Technology, or a related field (or equivalent relevant drafting experience).
- Experience: 0–2 years (We love meeting new graduates and emerging design professionals!).
- Technical Foundation: Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit and Microsoft Office, with an eagerness to learn the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- The "Eager" Factor: A strong eye for detail, a commitment to precision, and a desire to master industrial electrical drafting.
- Fit: You are curious, collaborative, organized, and thrive in a high-trust environment where your contributions are visible, valued, and directly support the team’s success.
