Freight Broker/Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced LTL dispatcher to join our growing team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily dispatch activities of our LTL carrier partners, ensuring on-time delivery and exceptional service. Scheduled shift

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Dispatching: Assign and dispatch drivers for frozen LTL shipments, considering factors such as delivery schedules, driver availability, and equipment requirements.
• Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with carrier partners, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status, delays, and any other relevant information.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during transit, such as traffic delays, equipment malfunctions, or delivery exceptions.
• Documentation: Accurately maintain dispatch records, including shipment details and delivery confirmations.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety standards and transportation laws.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching, preferably in the LTL transportation industry.
• Knowledge: Thorough understanding of DOT regulations, routing principles, and dispatch software.
• Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be comfortable in high stress environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong Negotiation skills.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during transit, such as traffic delays, equipment malfunctions, or delivery exceptions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• 2 or more year’s work experience in the logistics and supply chain field.

This position is a 4 day, 40 hour work schedule beginning on Sunday. Salary is based on level of experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
