Position Title: Public Service Associate
Number of Open Positions: 1
Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (average of 12-15 hours weekly), and rotating Saturdays
Pay rate: $15.00 an hour

The Mukwonago Community Library seeks a dependable, customer-service-oriented person to work with our dynamic and forward-thinking Circulation and Customer Experience Team. Duties include helping customers check out items and handling money at the Circulation Desk, registering new library cards, sorting materials for delivery, emptying book drops, shelving, processing new books, and cleaning and repairing all circulating items including The Thingery, our non-traditional items in our library of things. Must be friendly, cooperative, comfortable with technology, and able to work independently.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic keyboarding skills and familiarity with technology
- Ability to meet the physical needs of the job including pushing carts, bending, carrying, and standing
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and cooperative manner to staff and library visitors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Experience working in libraries, education, or similar jobs
