Mugs on Main Coffee Shop & Cocktail Lounge
We're seeking a skilled and charismatic Barista/Bartender to join our team at Mugs! As a hybrid coffee shop and specialty cocktail lounge, we serve up expertly crafted coffee drinks and cocktails in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Weekends and evenings required. Reliable transportation to both Riverhead and Quogue locations required. Year-round position only.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
- Mix and serve craft cocktails, wine, and beer
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage cash transactions, operateToast point-of-sale system, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Collaborate with our team to create a unique and enjoyable experience for our customers
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest coffee and cocktail trends
Requirements:
- Experience as a barista and/or bartender
- Knowledge of coffee preparation methods and ingredients
- Familiarity with craft cocktails and mixology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and (required) weekends
- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coffee or bartending certification
- Experience with pour-overs, espresso, and other specialty coffee drinks
- Knowledge of wine and beer
- Creativity and enthusiasm for creating unique drinks and experiences
