Job Summary:
The Data Risk Vice President is responsible for overseeing and strengthening how data risk is identified, assessed, and managed across the organization in alignment with the firm’s Data Management Policy. This role ensures data risks are clearly understood, appropriately governed, and effectively controlled to support regulatory obligations, management reporting, and business decision-making. This role requires strong judgment, the ability to operate in ambiguity, and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders across the enterprise.
This position is a senior individual-contributor role with enterprise-wide influence. It does not involve software development, coding, or analytics development.

- Data Risk Oversight & Framework Alignment
- Lead identification and assessment of data risks in alignment with the firm’s Data Management Framework, including established standards and non-negotiable requirements
- Assess risks related to data quality, key data elements, ownership, lineage, controls, and data usage
- Ensure data risks are evaluated consistently based on potential impact to regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and management decision-making
- Support ongoing framework modernization and simplification efforts
- Data Controls & Control Effectiveness
- Support design, documentation, and assessment of data-related controls
- Challenge control design and operating effectiveness where gaps are identified
- Promote consistent application of data control expectations across the organization
- Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Act as a trusted Data Risk partner to senior stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional discussions on data risk and remediation priorities
- Prepare concise, decision-ready materials for senior management and governance forums
- Experience in data risk, data controls, governance, operational risk, compliance, or audit
- Strong risk assessment and judgment capabilities
- Executive-level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority
- Comfort operating in evolving frameworks and transformation environments
- Experience working within a data management or data control frameworks
- Exposure to audit or regulatory data reviews
- Familiarity with data governance or issue management tools (e.g., Collibra)

Salary : $121,000 - $170,000
