Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized product recommendations based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos and clear communication
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain accurate stock levels by merchandising products attractively and restocking shelves as needed
- Conduct product demos to showcase new items and promote upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales and age restrictions
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and performing regular stock checks
- Deliver excellent customer service via in-person interactions and phone etiquette, answering questions professionally and promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably within a grocery store or similar environment
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining customer trust
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices is a bonus
- Knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, or willingness to learn through training sessions
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive customer interactions
