Position Overview

As a Host/Hostess at Muertos Cantina, you’ll be the first face our guests see and the last one they remember. We’re looking for someone who is personable, caring, and ready to deliver a memorable experience. Your role is to create an inviting, friendly atmosphere for our guests while making sure they have everything they need to enjoy their meal. Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do, and you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our guests leave with a smile.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Experience: Provide exceptional customer service with a focus on creating a warm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere. Be a true ambassador for the Muertos Cantina brand.
• Order Taking & Delivery: Accurately take food and drink orders, ensure correct delivery, and check in on guests regularly to ensure their satisfaction.
• Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the menu, including food and drink pairings, and share recommendations with confidence.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and bar team to ensure smooth service. Be a team player and support your colleagues when needed.
• Hospitality Excellence: Anticipate guests’ needs and go above and beyond to make their dining experience memorable. Be approachable, personable, and fun — because at Muertos, hospitality is everything.
• Cleaning & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, set up tables efficiently, and ensure the restaurant’s overall cleanliness is up to our high standards.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow health and safety protocols, including alcohol service regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.

What We’re Looking For

• A Positive Attitude: A welcoming personality and a passion for connecting with people. If you enjoy making others smile, we want to hear from you.
• Experience: Previous experience in a server role is preferred but not required. A willingness to learn and grow is key.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to build rapport with guests, team members, and management.
• Hospitality Mindset: A genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and creating a memorable dining experience.
• Multitasking Ability: The ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining high service standards.
• Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
