About the Role
The work of an Assembly Cleaner at Mueller Refrigeration is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment. Mueller Refrigeration is a manufacturer of HVAC/R components (valves, fitting, protection devices). Product range includes ball valves, pressure relief valves, check valves, manifolds, and filter driers, built to high industry standards. Products are shipped from Hartsville, TN to customers and distribution centers throughout the US and internationally.

What You'll Do

• Role is considered a “heavy lifter” position due to intensity of physical activity required
• Remove parts from citric acid bath
• Clean parts using a foot-activated cleaning wheel and hand grinder
• Load and unload trays of parts from washer
• Pack parts into cardboard cases

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting/handling of components weighing up to 11 pounds each
• Occasional lifting of cartons weighing 20 to 50 pounds each
• Hand grip up to 47 pounds
• Continuous standing/walking within and around work areas
• Occasional pushing/pulling of pallet jacks, requiring forces up to 100 pounds
• Occasional stooping/bending for forward reach
• Occasional crouching/squatting to access low levels

• Safety glasses

• Water resistant sleeves

Qualifications

• Stable work history
• High school diploma preferred
• Upper body strength sufficient for handling of parts
• Ability to perform labor in atmosphere of high ambient temperature and humidity in summer months
• Ability to use simple tools
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to write simple correspondence
