Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Mechanic to perform a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks on machinery, vehicles, and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery according to schedules.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and carry out corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Assist in installation or removal of equipment and machinery as needed.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-the-spot repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members on maintenance-related issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or repair.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Forklift or heavy equipment operation certification
