2nd Shift Maintenance Technician II

Position Summary

Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the skilled maintenance and repair of facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural, requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

· Maintain, diagnose, and repair vacuum coating equipment, spray coating equipment, and process ovens.​

· Repair and fabricate tooling fixtures to support production needs.​

· Implement custom equipment solutions for manufacturing processes, collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors as needed.

· Resolve production equipment downtime issues in coordination with maintenance team members.​

· Evaluate process equipment to provide solutions for continuous improvement initiatives.​

· Support building and grounds maintenance activities, ensuring a safe and functional environment.

· Establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with production personnel and supervisors.​

· Communicate clearly and respectfully with fellow team members and team leaders on daily production issues, work orders, and project completions at the beginning and end of each shift.​

· Perform corrective and preventive building maintenance, including basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical tasks.

· Promote and enforce strict safety protocols, participate in safety audits, and ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and facility-specific safety standards.

Skills and Competencies

· Welding and Fabrication: Proficient in welding techniques and fabrication processes to repair and create custom fixtures and components.​

· Electrical Systems: Understanding of basic electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair.​

· Advanced Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose complex equipment issues and implement effective solutions.​

· Training Compliance: Commitment to completing all required training records and certifications.​

· CMMS Proficiency: Mastery of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems for tracking maintenance activities and work orders.​

· Time Accountability: Demonstrated ability to report and manage time effectively, maintaining at least 85% time accountability.

Requirements

· 5 years' experience in maintenance or as a mechanic.​

· Ability to follow work instructions and established procedures.​

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, make informed decisions, and multitask effectively.​

· Capability to work independently and excellent people skills to communicate effectively with team members and facility leadership.​

· Proficiency in reading and communicating in English.​

· Knowledge of ITAR, ISO 9001, AS 9100, and ISO 13485 standards.
