Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel comfortable and appreciated upon arrival
- Manage guest flow at the service line, ensuring efficient seating and waitlist management using POS systems.
- Assist with guest inquiries, providing clear information about menu items, services, and event details via phone or in person
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow during busy periods
- Maintain a clean, organized host station and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and well-presented
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and hospitality standards
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of guest service, hospitality, and overall experience
Experience
- Previous experience as a host or host in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Strong food service background with knowledge of restaurant operations and guest services
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous
- Experience working in hotel or resort environments enhances guest relations capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in fast-paced settings
- Prior experience in serving or guest-facing roles that emphasize hospitality and customer satisfaction
