What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expo position at Muddy Cow?
Job Summary
Serves as an intermediate between customers and kitchen staff. Ensures that orders get to tables as quickly and accurately as possible.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures all food orders get to the kitchen staff.
- Inspects all prepared food before it gets delivered to the table.
- Ensures all dishes are made according to the recipes that are set forth.
- Ensures all food is properly garnished prior to running it out to a guest.
- Notifies all wait staff and food runner that the dishes are ready for delivery.
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Responsible for expo station cleanliness and restocking throughout the shift.
- Empties trash and spot sweeps whenever floor needs it or upon manger’s request.
- Performs opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner.
- Must be able to verbalize guests’ needs to another employees/manager.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain safety & cleanliness of workspace.
- Serve guests in friendly manner and encourage repeat patronage.
Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities
- Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
- Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights.
