Are you tired of starving on Flat Rate? Are you tired of working weekends?
Mud Digger Off-Road Suspensions is the premier specialty 4x4 shop on the East Coast. We don't do oil changes, and we don't do flat-rate BS. We build high-end, highly capable off-road rigs, and we pay a guaranteed hourly wage so you can actually predict your paycheck.
We are currently hunting for a highly experienced Tier 2 (Install Tech) or Tier 3 (Lead Tech/Fabricator).
If you are a parts-changer who rushes through jobs and leaves bolts loose just to beat the clock, do not apply. We operate on a strict "Torque & Mark" quality control system. We prioritize doing it right the first time, safely, over raw speed.
What We Offer (The Mud Digger Difference):
- Guaranteed Hourly Pay: $17.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on your Tier level. (No flat-rate starvation).
- The Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. You get your weekends back.
- Weekly Team Bonuses: We run a pooled shop bonus. When the shop exceeds its weekly billed hours, every eligible technician gets a cut of the profits.
- The "Flawless Month" Bonus: We pay you to do it right. Zero comebacks, zero failed QC checks, and zero unexcused absences earns you an extra $250 cash bonus every single month.
- Paid Time Off: 80 hours of PTO annually for Tier 2 and Tier 3 techs, plus paid major holidays.
- Clear Path to Promotion: No begging for a raise. We have a printed "Evaluation Jacket." Pass the required skill tests, get the raise. It’s that simple.
- Shop Perks: Deep employee discounts on parts, sales commission on referrals, and weekend bay access for your own rig.
What You Will Do:
- Install high-end aftermarket lift kits, wheels, tires, bumpers, winches, and lighting systems.
- Perform complex suspension and steering diagnostics (You must know how to cure Death Wobble, read alignment sheets, and correct driveline geometry).
- Perform basic to advanced MIG welding and custom fabrication (Tier 3 requirement).
- Act as a floor leader, mentoring lower-tier apprentices and performing strict Quality Control sign-offs.
What You Must Have:
- Experience: Proven, professional experience installing suspension systems and diagnosing steering geometry.
- Tools: You must possess your own core set of professional hand tools and cordless impacts.
- Accountability: You must be willing to own your mistakes. We operate on a "Fix Your Own" comeback rule.
- Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record required to test-drive customer vehicles.
If you are a professional wrench who takes pride in your work, understands aftermarket geometry, and wants to work in a highly structured, team-first environment, apply today.
