SHINE Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will take ownership in all phases of electrical design, coordination with other internal engineering groups (I&C, Process, Nuclear, Structural, etc.), procurement of equipment, commissioning, and start-up.
Hybrid or remote work arrangement will be considered. While our headquarters is located in Janesville, Wisconsin, we welcome applicants from across the U.S. who can effectively collaborate in a virtual environment. Candidates may be asked to travel occasionally for team meetings or onsite engagements, depending on business needs.
The base salary range for this position is $86,250-$172,500 annually plus a comprehensive benefit package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Duties And Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans to support the design, new construction, testing, commissioning, in-field troubleshooting and operation of the medical isotope production facility.
- Work with Procurement organization to procure equipment
- Monitor and provide guidance to contract engineers and engineers of record for the normal electric power supply system
- Provide support to Construction by processing requests for information, engineering change requests, work packages, and reviewing document submittals
- Work with electrical inspectors (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) to assure compliance of SHINE electrical systems
- Duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, Building Codes, IEEE standards, and IEC standards[JA1.1]
- Experience with conduits, cable trays, cable selection, terminal/connection drawings, panels, and panel design
- The following are considered a plus:
- Experience in electrical design meeting NRC regulatory requirements
- Professional engineering license with the ability to obtain a Wisconsin professional engineering license [JA2.1]
- Proficiency in Electrical Design tools such as AutoCad Electrical or Solidworks electrical
- Familiarity with SCADA or PLC systems preferably Allen-Bradley
- Greenfield Experience – from design through construction and startup
- Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Fine motor coordination and strong depth perception is beneficial.
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
