Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Marine Sustainability Coordinator to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. The Marine Sustainability Coordinator will Support various sustainability projects via both direct and indirect contribution, coordinate with other departments to project sustainability across business units, and aid in the development of various environmental planning tools across manufacturing sites
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in the generation of planning tools for sustainability efforts across the organization
- Provide support to ongoing projects through data organization, generation of executive summaries, and project reviews.
- Communicate with other members of External Affairs to ensure high visibility of sustainability projects.
- Develop strong relationships with other departments to integrate sustainability messaging across the organization
- Explore viable Rightwaters projects to be evaluated for future engagement by the Rightwaters Committee.
- Interact with stakeholders across the organization to understand the sustainability needs of the organization across the globe.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree, environmental, sustainability, biology, other sciences.
- 0 to 2 years of experience, or 0 to 2 years of co-op or internship
- Keen understanding of sustainability issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of tools.
- Fluency in Excel
- General knowledge of energy/waste visualization software/tools
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Affinity for outdoor activities, particularly boating and recreational fishing.
- The position will primarily function as a support role for sustainability projects but will be expected to be able to work independently to complete deliverables.
