Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and supporting their growth in various settings. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and fostering positive behavioral changes through structured support.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with clients to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress, behaviors, and treatment effectiveness.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Assist in the development of care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Maintain medical records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Provide support in special education settings as needed, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and documentation practices is advantageous.
- Previous experience in special education or behavioral health settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to implement behavior intervention strategies consistently and effectively.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development is essential.
- Must possess a valid RBT certification or be willing to obtain it upon hiring.
