Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our team. This role involves, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel trucks, and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel repair, with the ability to work efficiently upon instruction. Experience with fleet repair setting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC components.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs as well as other generalized maintenance.
- Maintain detailed service records and document all repairs performed.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs and solutions effectively.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Skilled in tire service and wheel alignment procedures a plus
- Knowledge of techniques for electrical repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions. This position requires a dedicated professional with a comprehensive understanding of diesel engine repair maintenance to ensure operational excellence across our fleet of truck and trailers.
