Job Overview: We are seeking a Paint Line Relief Team Member to support production by providing coverage for various roles along the paint line in an automotive manufacturing environment. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and knowledge of multiple paint line operations to ensure consistent production flow and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive painting, quality inspection, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide coverage for team members on the paint line, stepping into roles as needed to maintain production flow.
• Assist with loading and unloading parts onto racks and ensuring proper alignment for coating.
• Perform basic surface preparation such as masking, sanding, and cleaning components before painting.
• Inspect painted parts for defects such as runs, sags, orange peel, or overspray, ensuring they meet quality standards.
• Follow all safety procedures, hazardous material handling guidelines, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team leads, supervisors, and coworkers to ensure a smooth transition between roles.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality in the paint department.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, paint line operations, or related roles.
• Knowledge of paint application processes, coatings, and curing techniques preferred.
• Ability to operate various paint line equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify paint defects and quality issues.
• Willingness to work in different roles throughout the shift and adapt to changing production needs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work overtime and various shifts as needed.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, and perform repetitive motions.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and various materials.
• Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Full-time, with potential for overtime based on production needs.
• Shifts may include days, evenings, or weekends.
